Beautiful rhododendron and azalea gardens surround the elegant Homestead. The lawns and gardens are meticulously maintained by the University of Canterbury, providing an ideal setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony.

Lawn paths wend their way through extensive gardens and six Japanese style bridges cross the river, leading to countless picturesque locations for photo opportunities.

The pre-dinner food and drinks can be served on the verandah and on the lawns at the back of the house. The barbecue area has attractive outdoor furniture and provides a sheltered situation to enjoy the splendour of the gardens and peaceful surroundings.
